Pelegano's Stained Glass
Classes Offered
Beginner Class
- The history of Stained Glass will be discussed as well as how glass colors are made. The student will learn how to work with patterns, cut, grind, foil and solder stained glass and will complete a stained glass mirror.
Intermediate Class
- The student will choose a stained glass project and will be given instruction on how to ‘square up’ the project as well as the proper technique to fine-fit multi-faceted pieces. The student will also learn how to frame the project using lead or other materials.
- *Must have completed Pelegano’s ‘Stained Glass’ beginner course
Box Class
- The student will make a stained glass box with a beveled or flowered top. Instruction will also be given on the proper use of a straight edge and circle cutters.
- *Must have completed Pelegano’s ‘Stained Glass’ beginner course
Kaleidoscope Class
- The student will learn how to work with single surface mirror used in professional kaleidoscopes and will make their own marble or tumble kaleidoscope.
- *Must have completed Pelegano’s ‘Stained Glass’ beginner course
Beginner Lamps
- A stained glass lamp will be completed. The student will be instructed on the assembly of the lamp without the use of a form. The completed project may be used as a hanging lamp or as a table lamp.

Beginner Fusing
- The student will learn the properties of fusing glass and how to fuse the various types of glass re: compatibility and firing schedules. Four projects will be completed..1 slumped piece, 2 jewelry pieces and 1 draped piece.
